If something on the site is factually wrong — a regulation reference, a typical cost range, a safety claim — please let us know with the page it appears on and what needs updating. Trades and regulation content dates, and we would rather fix it than leave it stale. Where possible, tell us how you know the current information, so we can check it properly.
Our Editorial Process
Guides are written from genuine research into current UK building regulations, industry standards and typical trade practice. Pages are reviewed periodically and updated when regulations, costs or standards change, rather than left to go stale indefinitely.
What We Cannot Help With
Enlighten Me publishes general home renovation and trades guidance, not a professional survey, quote or safety inspection of your specific property. We cannot advise on individual disputes with a contractor, structural safety of a specific building, or anything requiring a qualified surveyor, engineer or tradesperson to assess in person — for that, please contact a suitably qualified professional or a body such as Citizens Advice or Trading Standards.
